Nancy Patterson, President and CEO of Strategy Inc and sought after presenter in life science valuation

Nancy Patterson

A much sought after speaker in the area of valuation and lifescience investment. Ms. Patterson is frequently invited to lecture on how to determine the probability of successful commercialization of an emerging technology which she does using a proprietary 12 weighted driver method. A few example topics of presentations include:

  1.   What level of successful commercialization is anticipated for a pre-clinical changing the standard of care technology?
  2.   I have an innovative platform technology, with four or five potential indications for use. How do I determine which indication should be our beachhead indication? I need a rigorous process to make this determination.
  3.   How do I ensure that investors will grasp the value my technology and agree to a reasonable valuation?
  4.   How much is my preclinical innovation worth? How can I prove it?
  5.   Weighting the 12 drivers of successful commercialization for an innovative medical device, and how it affects the value of an emerging technology?

Since 2006 through 2014 Ms. Patterson was a guest speaker each quarter at the UCLA medical school core class entitled The Business of Science. This graduate school class, one of the most popular in the medical school, teaches about the path to successful commercialization for lifescience technology.
